A True Children’s Story of Color, Creativity and Community

Over 20 years ago, Elena Agostinis set out to paint her family’s home with vibrant colors and unique designs, but never imagined it could revive the small mountaintop village of Tannersville, New York, transforming it into a nationally recognized destination defined by color and community.
In this illustrated book for kids and adults—written and illustrated by Agostinis in collaboration with her grandsons Max and Dylan—she traces how painting a few buildings on a sleepy main street sparked an ongoing, town-wide revival through color.
